Find the Phone You Want to Sell
Start with the brand, then choose the exact model. Each device has its own storage and condition choices. A listing must have a current quote before you book a sale.
Not Sure Which Old Phone You Have?
Read the Full Model Name
On an iPhone, check Settings > General > About. On many Android phones, open Settings > About phone. Include names such as Pro, Plus, Ultra or mini; similar-looking phones can have different values.
Check Total Storage Capacity
Use the phone’s total capacity rather than its remaining free space. If it will not switch on, check the original packaging or purchase record. Do not guess the storage when requesting a quote.
Cannot Find It in the Directory?
Use our valuation enquiry form and tell us the model and condition. Not every older handset has a resale value or an available quote. Wait for confirmation before sending it.
How Much Is My Old Phone Worth?
Age alone does not determine the offer. The model, storage, working functions and physical condition all matter. Check the current valuation rather than relying on an old purchase price.
Older Does Not Always Mean Worthless
An older working smartphone may still be suitable for another owner. Start with the exact model to see whether we currently buy it; we cannot promise a cash offer for every phone.
Selling Several Phones from a Drawer?
Add each supported device to your sell basket with its own storage and condition. Complete your contact details once for the booking. Keep each device identifiable and follow the packing instructions supplied.
Check a Phone That Has Been Stored Away
Test the Everyday Functions
If safe to do so, check whether it starts, charges and holds power. Test the display, touch response, cameras, microphone, speakers and buttons. Mention anything you cannot test.
Choose the Condition Honestly
Describe wear and any known faults using the exact-model form. A working phone with scratches is different from one with a charging or screen fault. Read the condition guide →

Before You Send Your Phone
Prepare the Device
Back up anything you want to keep. Transfer your data and SIM service, remove Apple, Google or Samsung account locks and any management restrictions, then erase the device. If it cannot be reset, contact Selle first. Never send your passwords. Read our preparation guide →
Pack and Identify It
Use a strong box and padding so the phone cannot move. Include your name and booking reference inside. Do not post a phone with a swollen, leaking or seriously damaged battery; contact Selle for guidance.
Selling Old Phones: Your Questions Answered
Do you buy every old mobile phone?
No. Availability and value depend on the exact model and condition. Check the directory or ask for a valuation. Do not post a phone that has no confirmed selling route.
Can I sell a phone that has been unused for years?
Possibly. Identify it, check its condition and look for a current valuation. If it has a swollen or damaged battery, do not charge or post it; contact us first.
What if I cannot turn my old phone on?
Tell us which functions cannot be tested and ask for guidance if you cannot identify it or remove account locks. You can read our broken-phone guide for the relevant selling route.
Can I sell several old phones together?
Yes, where each device is supported. Add each phone separately to your sell basket, choosing its own model, storage and condition, then complete one booking.
Will I receive the amount quoted?
Yes, when the device matches the model, storage and condition selected. If inspection finds a difference, we explain any revised offer before you decide whether to proceed.
When will I be paid?
Selle pays by bank transfer the same day your device arrives, once it has been inspected and confirmed as described.
What if I decline a revised offer?
If you decline a revised offer, we return your device with free return postage.
Can I sell more than one device?
Yes. Add each device to your sell basket with its own storage and condition, then complete one booking for the devices together.
