Find the Phone You Want to Sell

Start with the brand, then choose the exact model. Each device has its own storage and condition choices. A listing must have a current quote before you book a sale.

Unused, Opened or Factory Sealed?

Factory-Sealed Phones

Keep the seal intact while you ask Selle how to obtain the correct quote. If the valuation form does not offer a suitable sealed or new condition, request a valuation before booking. Do not select another condition simply to proceed.

Opened but Never Used

An opened box is different from a factory-sealed device. Tell us whether the phone has been activated or set up, and use the condition descriptions on its valuation form. “Unused” does not automatically mean the highest condition.

An Upgrade You Have Already Used

A phone can be unwanted without being new. Check the model, storage, cosmetic wear and working functions, then select the condition that describes it today.

What Is My Unwanted Phone Worth?

Get a current quote for the exact device you own. Model, storage, condition and whether it is sealed or opened can affect the assessment. We do not publish a blanket “new phone” price that could misrepresent your device.

Check the Details Before Booking

Match the model name and capacity to the box or device. Tell us about activation, marks, faults or previous repairs. Contact Selle if the available condition choices do not accurately describe the phone.

Only Sell a Phone You Own

You must have the right to sell it. An unwanted contract upgrade does not cancel your agreement with the network. If ownership, outstanding finance or any restrictions are unclear, resolve them before booking.

Choose the Right Route for Your Phone

New or Sealed and Not Covered by the Form?

Ask for a valuation with the full model, storage and sealed/opened status. Wait for a suitable quote before sending. Never share passwords or account login details in an enquiry.

Used but Still in Great Condition?

Use the working-device condition descriptions on the model’s valuation page. An immaculate appearance alone does not confirm all functions work; disclose any known issues. Check the condition guide →

Before You Send Your Phone

Prepare the Device

For a phone you have set up, back up your data, transfer your SIM service, remove account locks and erase it before sending. For a factory-sealed device, keep it sealed and follow the instructions for your agreed quote. Read our preparation guide →

Pack and Identify It

Use a strong box and padding so the phone cannot move. Include your name and booking reference inside. Do not post a phone with a swollen, leaking or seriously damaged battery; contact Selle for guidance.

New and Unwanted Phones: Your Questions Answered

Can I sell an unwanted upgrade?

Yes, if it is a supported device that you own and have the right to sell. Select the exact model and condition. Selling it does not end any separate network contract or payment agreement.

Should I open a sealed phone to get a quote?

Keep it sealed while you ask Selle for guidance. If the form has no suitable new or sealed condition, request a valuation before booking rather than opening it or choosing an inaccurate condition.

Is an opened but unused phone classed as new?

Not automatically. Tell us whether the seal is broken, the phone has been activated and whether it has any marks. Use the exact-model condition descriptions or ask for a suitable quote.

Do I need to include the box and accessories?

Check the instructions for your agreed quote before packing. For a sealed or boxed-device valuation, confirm what needs to be included with Selle so the contents match the offer.

Will I receive the amount quoted?

Yes, when the device matches the model, storage and condition selected. If inspection finds a difference, we explain any revised offer before you decide whether to proceed.

When will I be paid?

Selle pays by bank transfer the same day your device arrives, once it has been inspected and confirmed as described.

What if I decline a revised offer?

If you decline a revised offer, we return your device with free return postage.

Can I sell more than one device?

Yes. Add each device to your sell basket with its own storage and condition, then complete one booking for the devices together.
